Millions filing for unemployment, businesses of all types closed, and no real answers to when the current crisis will end. What a time to graduate from college! Are there any jobs to be had?
Historians and savvy businessmen know that whenever there is a change that hurts some businesses, it creates opportunities for other new and existing businesses!
What does this mean for you? It may mean that you need to take your newly minted skill set and apply it to an industry that you have not considered before. According to Fast Company these industries are thriving and hiring right now:
- Shipping and delivery companies
- Online learning companies
- Grocery stores and delivery services
- Remote meeting and communication companies
- Childcare
- Healthcare, Hospitals
Glassdoor reports that the coronavirus crisis has created MORE job openings in the following fields:
- Registered nurses
- Communications associates
- Project managers
- Technicians
Many of these are large companies with lots of opportunities to grow. So while you might begin in an entry-level position, there is plenty of room to grow and move up the ladder in the months and years ahead.
